We Are the Support System
We Wished We Had
Having successfully navigated the journey to our “second shore,” we realized that the greatest waste of human potential is a brilliant mind forced into idleness.
Our Story
From Experience to Empathy
We started this nonprofit because we know exactly what it’s like to have the talent but not the tuition; the drive but not the direction.
The journey to a “second shore” is filled with obstacles that most people never have to face. We’ve been there. We understand the feeling of watching your potential slip away while paperwork piles up.
That’s why we created Second Shore Bridges — to be the bridge we needed, for those who need it now.

More Than Just Grants
We don’t just provide grants; we provide the empathy of someone who has been there.
Because we know that without money, talent is often grounded.
Guidance from people who understand the unique psychological and bureaucratic hurdles of being a refugee scholar.
We ensure that your ‘waiting period’ becomes your ‘preparation period.’
Our Promise
We are here to make sure that for the next generation of refugee scholars, the path to a degree is never walked alone.
